My Little Square Award

I’ve been nominated for the 7×7 Link Award, and now I must fulfill all the requirements. Stay tuned as I must toot my own horn to acquire this prestigious award, which, I fear, will be something akin to bad gas.

First requirement: Thank the person who nominated me for this gassy task — I meant delightful award. The Woman At The Well is a dear, sweet person, and I enjoy her blog immensely. I’m sure you will too, so please visit her site here.

Second requirement: I have to somehow match 7 of my articles to the 7 descriptions below. I can only accomplish this in a tongue-in-cheek manner!

The Most Beautiful:  God’s Magnificent Creation

The Most Helpful:  Decorating With The Grandchildren

The Most Popular:  My brother — Conqueror of Life

The Most Controversial:  Unbelievable

The Most Surprisingly Successful: A Sunset to Soothe the Soul

The Most Underrated:  Catch The Train

The Most Pride Worthy: The Route 66 Bridge

Third requirement: Now I must nominate 7 blogs who I think are worthy of receiving the 7×7 Link Award, and I can assure you they are much more worthy than mine.

Jennthezookeeper

Freedomborn

I was Thinking

Resting In His Grace

Christianity out of the Box

Drusilla Mott

Brush Arbors Ministries

Fourth Requirement: I must alert my candidates of the good news so they too can acquire a 7×7 sticker.

Fifth Requirement: I must disclose a big Secret — here it is. My husband was raised in a home where you could NOT say the word “FART” much less expel the forbidden gas, and if he accidentally popped one off, he had to pardon himself extensively. So to help him overcome this childhood trauma, I fart extremely loud and and in a meek, mild voice say, “Excuse me.” I’m convinced, to this day, that this is why I am thin and he is round!

Yip! I’m the Winner of another Crazy Award!

I was recently nominated for the Liebster award by the fabulous    Drusilla Mott.

Now there are requirements to gain this prestigious award, but if you’re like me you’re wondering what the blink does Liebster mean? Does it stand for Lie your Blog-ster off! Maybe it’s a lobster blog with a twisted sense of love. Or how about Lie under the staircase and blog — like a secret society. Most of my blogging buddies love Jesus, so what Liebster should mean is – The Lord Is Established, Born in a Stable, To give Everlasting Redemption. (My Christmas theme in keeping with the holidays.)

The tinsel tossing requirements are as follows: Thank the person who nominated me and provide a link — see Dru above. Post a copy of the rewarding stamp. Nominate 5 people who have less than 200 followers and deserve Recognition and Praise — see list below. Oh, and let my five awesome choices in on the big holiday secret.

1. Jen @jennthezookeeper.wordpress.com because she makes me laugh with my grandsons’ antics. (I’m also proud of my daughter’s blog being picked up by the local newspaper for a weekly article!) :)

2. WATW @thewomanatthewell.wordpress.com because she has a pure heart and writes prayerfully to Jesus.

3. Bill @iwasthinkingdotme.wordpress.com because he has a warm & country goodness about his blog.

4. Naphtali @craigmotor.wordpress.com because she takes God out of the box with style & flare.

5. Isaiah @myhmmmcollection.wordpress.com because she has beautiful hmmm lessons about life with Christ.

There are many more whom I enjoy blogging with, but alas, I can only choose five. Besides, most have already acquired the impressive Liebster ornament.

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Is 7:14

The Versatile Blogger Award

I’m a new blogger, so to be put on the list for a Versatile Blogger Award by mtsweat is quite an honor and a challenge.

In order to be a winner though, I have to honor the person who listed me, (see above) list 15 bloggers, and jot down 7 things about myself.

I don’t know fifteen people in the blogging world, but I’m up for making new friends.

So here goes, who I chose and why:

1. Because Jen makes me laugh.    jennthezookeeper

2. Because I want Mona to receive the crown of victory.    mona

Seven things about myself that I don’t even want to know.

1. I drink coffee with God every morning — sometimes it takes two pots.

2. I have two hangar cats — go hunters!

3. I live on an airport, but I don’t know how to fly. That makes me a walking oxymoron!

4. I love my grand-babies, even if I have wrinkles.

5. I love my family, even if they gave me wrinkles.

6. I think some fb post are more information than I needed.

7. I think finding 15 people for a green stamp is insane.
