Preaching Lili!

Early one morning while I prayed, Lili, my four year old granddaughter, sat at the top of the stairs preaching to her imaginary choir below.

She spoke loudly, “God gets the monsters off of you. He sends them away!” She cried. “God is going to come into your heart. He’s going to love you.”

“We’re going to pray,” she paused briefly.

Then she started preaching again. “The WORD is going to help you! God loves you! He LOVES His children. He is going to love you a lot!”

She held her arms wide. “He loves you this much!”

“You’re going to need to pray — you’re going to do it! Close your eyes and PRAY”

Finishing her sermon, she clapped her hands, Praising God!

Take it from a four year old — GOD LOVES YOU!

Air Evac

As much as I love this helicopter, I hate to see it fly in at times. Mostly because it lands under extreme circumstances and leaves you standing helplessly by. However, I have found that it’s an opportunity to stand in the gap and pray hard for another. Thereby giving HOPE rein.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people! Timothy 2:1

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Lili and the Wild Geese!

Lili and I walked over to the pond on a quest to photograph the wild geese. As I instructed her to be quiet and walk softly, because the geese are skittish, she bounced, twirled, and jumped.

I quickly started taking photographs all the while praying to the Lord to send angels to keep the flock corralled for a moment. Lili, on the other hand, walked off toward the geese on a mission of her own.

“Lili, get back here,” I hissed softly. “You’ll scare the geese.”

In turn, the determined Lili gave me a look that said — watch this, grandma! And I did, in amazement.

Not only did my little pink princess come close to the wild geese, but she flushed the birds as well as any bird dog could do!

Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, obeying the voice of his word! Psalm 103:20

Happy Birthday, Mister Kaden!

My grandson, Kaden, is turning one this week! He is a precious child with a heart of gold and a wonderful disposition. And a smile will light your face when anywhere near him!

Happy Birthday, Mister Kaden! Jesus loves you! And grandma loves you too!

Seagulls

Lately, I’ve been amazed by the seagulls soaring in Oklahoma. So I asked an older, wiser gentleman why these birds were here, and he simply stated, “A storm blew them in.” Interesting enough, we’re in the middle of a drought. And I can’t remember a blustery storm of late. But more importantly, why have these birds decided to stay rather than to seek the fresh salty air of their home?

Amazingly, these birds have chosen to stay and fish in the cow pond next door. Do they know something we don’t?
