Night Terrors!

Recently, it has come to my attention that people are suffering from night terrors, especially the youth. When children suffer in this manner, it is the devil at work dulling the spiritual senses.

Many years ago, I was jarred awake by an evil spirit lying on top of me. I could not see him, but I could feel him placing his hands around my throat and squeezing my neck. I could not physically scream or flair my arms for help — I was frozen. I thought, great, I am going to die. But suddenly, I remembered the name JESUS. And the minute my mind screamed Jesus, I could sense His immediate descent into the room and the evil spirit instantaneously flew out. In recent years, I’ve learned more about spiritual warfare, and because of that I can sleep like a baby.

For those of you who need help, God has impressed upon me to give you a few guidelines so you can gain some restful slumber: If you do not know Jesus Christ, start by seeking a relationship with our Lord and Savior DAILY. Use Jesus’ name to cover yourself profusely in the life giving blood, which is powerful, and God given — to all — for protection, healing, and salvation!

For those of you who know Christ, but have yet to learn spiritual warfare, again use Jesus’ name and blood, but also build a barrier around your home and family. This is the type of prayer that I use before I go to bed each and every night and even when I arise. Be commanding when you say, “I loose all the evil spirits from this house, go to the dry places, do not return, your assignment is cancelled. By the power and authority invested in me through my Lord Jesus Christ — I said GET OUT! Dear Jesus, I bind the Holy Spirit to this house and to the people within, drawing our minds to Christ even as we sleep. Cover us with the Blood of Christ, and send guarding angels to keep us safe and well protected. Thank you Almighty God for the protection you provide this family!” If you awake in the night, do it again unless God has awakened you for intercessory prayer.

Do NOT do deliverance on individuals unless GOD has instructed you to learn, and the individual has agreed to fill himself up with CHRIST. Deliverance of that type should always be done in twos and Jesus warns that you can make an individual 7 times worse. (Mathew 12:45) The prayer above is to rid your home of the junk that the family has brought from their daily coming and goings or their nightly sins: this includes addictions, the horrors you watch on television, your mouths unwittingly breathing death and destruction, ect. Here’s where God implores you to walk a righteous life.

For those of you who need to learn deliverance for self purposes — seek Jesus in prayer and He will send you down the necessary path for additional learning — you may need to be the prayer warrior in your family and for those around you. Many people — even those who know Christ — have no idea how to guard their families from Satan — I urge you to learn spiritual warfare if you do not already know how.

And remember always be thankful and grateful for what God has done for you!

Then Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.” Luke 13:18-19

Get Lost Santa

Why do people believe in a jolly old man, decked out in red velvet, but the birth of Jesus Christ is hard to grasp.

Why do people accept dancing green elves who devote their lives to toy making, but adorned angels delivering God’s message is considered strange.

Why do people accept a reindeer powered sled, but wise men on camels, following a star, is outlandish.

Why do people accept a midnight visit from Santa, yet shepherds viewing the savior, one glorious night, considered odd.

Get lost Santa — Jesus is the reason for the season!

Christ Birth8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2

Seeking Solace

You know the Christmas season is serious when two wild turkeys are heading to church.

A Christmas Engine!

Recently, our aircraft engine sputtered to an end. So I prayed and handed the Lord the battle. Early the next morning, God said, “Lay hands on the 172 and pray.” I prayed and gave thanks to Jesus for the new engine that would be forthcoming not knowing how, when, or where, but trusting Him to have the perfect answer.

A week later Scott contacted us — he had located an overhauled engine for a Cessna 172 for $10,000. (A super extraordinary buy.) And even offered to drive Steve down to retrieve the engine with his truck, as we had no automobile that could move it.

Cash for the purchase became the next human obstacle, but God with His infinite ways and wisdom soon had the money rolling in to the exact dollar needed to buy the engine.

A couple of weeks later the engine arrived and two wonderful men offered to instal it — and did! The 172 cranked up and flew the skies 7 days prior to Christmas. What a fabulous gift from God! Not only do we have the honor of celebrating the birth of Christ, but we can marvel at His Grace, Power, and Glory! Glory to God!

Thanks by Lady DeidreThat my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever! Psalm 30:12

Testimony

I love Chronicles, and while reading a passage from the 16th chapter it occurred to me that we need to share our testimonies a little more often. Not only to encourage others, but to bring Glory to a deserving God.

So here’s one of mine: I prayed and asked God for a camera for obvious reasons — mine was broken, and I love showcasing God’s wonder. Shortly thereafter, Keith bought a great camera and let me use it — continually — as in months.

When I became attached to the camera and the many opportunities the Lord provided, I began to wonder what I would do without the blessed clicker. The Lord assured me the camera was already mine. (Here’s where I’m sure the Lord placed an image on Keith’s heart — me clutching his new camera close, happily chasing after a critter and thanking God for the opportunity.)

Then one day, out of the blue, I received a message from Keith:  The camera likes you better, why don’t you just keep it!

Gushing with joy I responded: You’re right — it does like me better! Thank you so much! I love you like a camera on a good photo shoot! (The part Keith didn’t see was me whooping, hollering, and thanking an awesome God.)

My prayer: Thank you, dear Jesus, for caring even about the little things in my life! Help me to constantly use this wonderful gift you have so graciously given me for Your Glory! And please Bless Keith extra big!  Amen

Sunset DucksOh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!                  1 Chronicles 16: 8 & 9

First Response

Recently the boys and I were driving to the park, discussing angels. Lane fell asleep before we got to the playground, so I drove around taking photographs, while James fished in my purse for a mint.

He popped the mint into his mouth and then grabbed his throat. “Grandma, I’m choking,” he whispered in distress.

“Dear God, help us!” I said, grabbing James around the waist and hauling him out of the car. I remember quickly glancing around the park assessing the people — like someone in  a medical uniform was going to be standing by.

In the next instant, I performed something akin to the Heimlich maneuver and out popped the mint. James and I stood staring at the object of distress for several long moments before climbing back into the vehicle.

Tears welled up in James’ eyes. Hugging him, I said, “It’s okay, buddy. We called on Jesus and he helped us. We’re all right now.”

I’ve learned that my first and best response is to call on the LORD!

“In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I called. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry came to his ears.”  2 Samuel 22:7

The Lord Reigns!

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!”

Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth.

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! 1 Chronicles 16: 31, 32, 33, 34
