Lili and I stopped to take a photo of an old steeple at sunset.
A statue caught my eye, and I pointed. “Look, Lili. Who is that supposed to be?”
She breathed, “God.”
She was so drawn to the statue that she climbed up on the brick planter. As she reverently hugged the statue, Lili said, “Jesus loves the children, grandma.”
Then she reached up and touched his chest. “It’s because He has a big heart.”
At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children. Matt 11:25
What a beautiful story, your granddaughter must bring you so much joy.
Thank you, Andrews. She is a doll!
God Bless You!
This is so wonderful …Blessings.. Bro Pat.
Thank you very much, Brother Pat!
God Bless You!
Oh Lady Dei . .this made me cry. I want to be like Lili! God bless you and your sweet ones!
Hello, Deb. I thought it was tender too!
Thank you & God Bless You!
out of the mouth of babes! great post!
Thank you, Cathy!
It seems I’m blocked from adding a Like Dei, sad for those who live in bitterness and resentment, or seek to deliberately hurt others, lets hope it is just a technical malfunction this time and not the hacker.
How beautiful is Lili’s heart, this is why God tells us we must become as Children, they don’t argue about His Truth or try to reason it away with their own understanding, logic and reason, they accept it and are willing to be dependant and Trusting.
Christian Love from both of us.- Annie
Hello, Annie. I like those “likes” too! But I don’t think you were the only one that day! Many are complaining about WordPress problems. I think maybe WP is growing faster than they can get it all together.
Thank you Ron & Annie! God Bless You both!
It brings joy to the heart to see how our young children embrace our Father. The are truly a blessing. Thanks for sharing this tender story.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thank you, Francine. You are a joy!
God Bless You!
Oh, Lady Dei–I confess I’m envious, and misty-eyed–what I’d give to spend a day with Lili and Lane. And it occurs to me that onlookers would say how sweet, to see Lili hugging the statue–but if I were to do it, the reaction might be quite different. Sad, huh? God bless you and your beautiful family–love, sis Caddo
Hello, Caddo. I don’t recommend hugging the statue — onlookers would put us away!
Thank you & God Bless You!
See, that’s what I was thinking–in the looney bin for hugging Jesus’ statue. Somehow I don’t think it would fly, for me to argue, “But Lili did it!” Oh well, life is cruel sometimes—love you, Caddo
Lady Dei, Lili has such a heart for God! It is truly beautiful to witness.
Thank you for sharing! Keep up the great work! Please tell my little buddy hello, for me.
Paulette
Hello, Paulette. She’s quite a girl!
I’ll let her know you said hello.
Thank you & God Bless You!
Deidre,
This post just grabs the heart! Nothing I can say can make it one bit better! That picture with Lili says it all, and so do her words!! Thanks for sharing this and God Bless, SR
Thank you, SR. I was glad I stopped by a Catholic Church — I don’t think many other churches have statues!
God Bless You!
I would dare to say on that “thought” you are probably more than 100% correct :>) How it touches Lili, though! This post gives me the “goose bumps!” God Bless, SR
Amen and God Bless!
