Just before I went to Pennsylvania on a Christian retreat, I was praying and thanking God for the blessed opportunity when the Lord said, “Kevin will anoint you.” I remember thinking, okay, but at the same time wondering how this could be. You see, I was the least important person, out of the ten, going. The other nine incredible individuals went to work the retreat via through preaching, teaching, and youth ministry — I went solely as a companion with a camera to catch God’s glory.
The first night in Pennsylvania Kevin preached a powerful message and asked our group to come forward to pray with the people who were standing before the alter. I remained in my seat, but the others waved me forward as if I were part of the team. I stood on the stage with the other ministers, perplexed, when Kevin said, “Put out your hands.” We placed our hands palm up before him. “I’m going to anoint you,” he said, rubbing his hands over ours.
The second evening, after our team had done a fantastic job teaching, we had 3 powerful messages in Heavenly interpretations. When Ranae was speaking in tongues for the second time, God said to me, “You, you, you.” Meaning: listen to the interpretation it is for you. That is not to say it was for me alone, but that God wanted me to pay particular attention to what was about to be spoken. Here are a few clips of what I can remember:
“You are here for a reason.”
“You have been called.”
“Some of you have been praying for certain things for a long time — do not give up — the harvest is near.”
“Yes you will stumble, and you will fall, but I will lift you up.”
Praise God! That last tidbit was reassuring because I have to dust my spiritual knees off all the time. And I must admit, I had been praying about my writing, among other things, for quite some time. I had decided, recently, that maybe God hadn’t called me to write and that maybe I got it all wrong. So I focused more on taking photos, which I love to do also because I need a creative Godly outlet.
All in All it was a fantastic retreat, and I appreciate Pastor Darrla for inviting me and being an awesome individual.
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
The photos are breath taking! Oh how I wish I was there! What is wrong with your writing? I love your writing!!! I get something from your blog every single time I read a post. I love the “last line as well.” It is reassuring, and you be reassured you have a sister in Christ with the “same dusty knees:>)” It is called “swifter” will wipe the dust right off:>)
I am so glad you went on this retreat, as you have shared so much with us. So much to think about and implement into our lives. You are “here” for a reason! To bless us with your love and many spiritual gifts, which you give so well. God Bless, SR
Hello, SR. You are such a loving and kind person! I really appreciate your encouraging words!
I’m also glad to know I’m not the only one having to polish my knees all the time.

Wow Dei, those photo’s are just beautiful, thanks for sharing them and your anointing. I was anointed as an Evangelist, not long after I asked for God’s wisdom and received it and this is something that has greatly changed my focus and understanding, now I rejoice in who I am in Christ Jesus.
Continue to write your books Dei, not one of us is better then anyone else, although we may be called to a more noticeable or a Public Ministry, that is within our roles as men and woman and also our gifting, but it may be Intercession behind closed doors, they are equal in God’s eyes, He does not have favourites, we are all His beloved Children whom He longs too bless abundantly with His rewards and they are just Heavenly.
Yes till we are perfected in Love we may fall or stumble in our flesh, that is why we must put it to death, although we are under grace, we have been set free in Christ Jesus so we do not continue to sin … How good is that!
1 John 4:17-19 Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in Love; but perfect Love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in Love. We Love Him, because He first Loved us.
John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Romans 6:17-19 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness
Christian Love from both of us – Annie
Thank you, Annie, for your encouraging words! Striving forward to be more perfect in Christ!
