In a 115 degree heat, it is increasingly difficult to find indoor activities for my 3 exuberant grandchildren. Deciding to combine an over due chore with water fun, I bought some hoses and a sprinkler.
The children not only hosed down 32 full length windows, but blasted each other with the water hose.
Unfortunately, Lili got too close to the powerful nozzle and was smacked in the chest. She burst into a sudden ball of tears. “My heart!” She clutched her chest dramatically. “My heart!” She screamed.
While she cried, I removed her hands to see a tiny red welt. She tearfully replied, “He almost hurt my Jesus.” She sobbed, “He almost hurt my Jesus!”
I assured her Jesus was fine. But wondered, are we that passionate about the Jesus in our heart?
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
I laughed, then was worried and then I cried, what a beautiful reality of Jesus, thank you Dei for the flowers of Love that you share with so many… Love, Truth, Compassion, and Joy.
Christian Love Annie
Hello, Annie. Lili is fine, no need to worry. Thank you so much for your encouraging words.
God Bless you & yours!
How very sweet and loving is the sentiment of your young granddaughter. The Bible tells us to train up a child in the way he should go and when he/she are old they will not depart from it. It is evident that she is being trained well how to love the Lord and to protect her relationship with him. A lesson for all of us. My heart is full of pride for you and your grandchildren.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Hello, Francine. I’m standing on that verse. Praying all my babies protect their relationship with our Lord and Savior. Thank you so much for your gracious and kind words of support!
God Bless you & yours!
How wonderful! cooling off with Jesus!
Thank you, Cathy. The kids had a blast!
God Bless you & yours!
Wonderful story Dei – I know I’m not as passionate as I should be about Jesus in my heart.
Thanks, Bill. I think all of us in the adult group would probably agree, but maybe that’s why Jesus reminds us to be as children.
God Bless you & yours!
Who is teaching who? Out of the mouths of babes.

Isn’t that the truth, Karin!

My, my! That Lili would worry that Jesus had been hurt before even considering her own pain, is just so precious! That’s so wonderful, and what Francine said!

Hello, Ted. I don’t want to either.
Thank you & God Bless!
Lovely story of the essence of real faith as shown in a child who obviously was convinced about her feelings, as you said Lady Diedre, only if we would and walk in Spiritual maturity?
Blessings
