Extreme Airport Skiing!

When the winds turn bad, anything is possible at the airport!

Dr. Keith, great all-around guy, decided to ski in 107 degrees while dragging a tire. He would say, “If you can’t fly, exercise.” He would also let you know that he is the only person in the Midwest to own grass skis. (And I can see why.)

Shaking my head, I got the camera ready for the big event. “Hey, Bull Dog, do you need me to bring you some Gatorade while your out there?”

“No, just make sure I’m still standing occasionally,” a smiling Keith replied.

As Keith started skiing north toward the windsock, I hurried outside. In an ankle length dress and sandals, I dashed across the cracked, rough, and hilly ground to get myself into position.

Keith called, “Will you do anything to catch a photo?”

“Almost,” I yell back as I ran past him. If I didn’t capture this moment, who would believe me when I said, “A man skied 2 miles, in extreme heat, towing rubber around the runway. It should go in some sort of record book. I think Keith deserves some sort of badge or button that says, If I’m not in the air, come find me, I may be under the tire.   Click to enlarge photo for a better view, if you dare.

And his name — by faith in his name — has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all. Acts 3:16

  1. Dr. Keith is an amazing individual. He does not his circumstance to get the better of him. He improvise.
Thanks for sharing Lady D. There is nothing boring and monotonous around here. God blesses.

  2. I feel like a wimp and a ninny . .okay a whimpaninny! I am looking at this and have to say God bless him. And you for running out there and getting a photo. But I just don’t see me doing this anytime soon! No matter how much I may need to!

  3. Hadn’t heard of grass skiing – but searched on it and found it’s all around. I can’t say I’m up to it, especially in the heat.
Great verse – healed in Jesus’ name.
    God Bless!

    • Hello, Bill. I hadn’t heard of it either until Keith started skiing the runway a couple of years ago. The tire is his latest feat.
Thank you & God Bless you & yours!

  4. Wow what a goal as Ron said good on him… I wish you were around when I try achieve something for the record book… Hmmmm just as well you were’nt it was a flop.

In reference to your Scripture, Dei, with having a physical disabilty but also having been Miraculously healed more then once and just recently again as I shared with you, I have looked at healing as a whole in the Scriptures. I hope it won’t be too long but I will share some of God’s Truth in regard to illness.

God heals Miraculously as well as Medically, as I shared before, I was healed in a Miraculous way and the Doctors were unable to explain how my life threatening conditions disappeared and also deep skin cancer but I’m still disabled from birth and as my body is wearing out with age it increases but God knows how much I can endure and strengthens me as He did Job and many others, my Spirit is strong and is not weary. Isaiah 40:29-31

I have also experienced personally signs and wonders that were witnessed by others but unable to be explained, confirming God does indeed work in Miraculous ways today. Jesus is The Living Word John1:1 and it is Him who we are to glorify, He also heals and cleanses our soul, our spirit, our emotional hurts and wounds afflicted by Satan and others who sin against us and we do not see these outwardly except wonderfully by a Transformed life.

We remember too as Paul shared about his thorn, 2 Corinthians 12:7- 10 God sometimes does not heal and we do need to confess sins so we can be healed, James 5:16. Paul also said to Timothy to have wine for health reasons God is indeed the only true healer and He uses His creation as a tool. .

Christian Love from both of us Annie.
