Occasionally, Steve will inform a pilot, on take-off, that I will be wielding a camera. To my great surprise this Rv8 owner put on a fantastic performance. I didn’t even care what he was blowing out his Rv8 — I loved it! The pilots later informed me it was smoker oil. I am now a huge fan of the smoker oil! Yahooooo! Just click photo to enlarge!

They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles . . . Isaiah 40:31

Hi! I especially love this verse–the “wait” word is always a good reminder to me!! God bless you abundantly–love, sis Caddo
Dear, Sis Caddo. Waiting can be hard for all of us at times.
Thank you & God Bless you too!
Oh this is so special for us today! My Aub loves planes ( and cars, trains, trucks, etc. ) and the verse is a great one as she recovers from a seizure today.
Lady D . ..have you ever heard of Red Bubble? Sometimes photographers sell their photos as prints or framed through there . . .I just think these plane shots of yours are sooooo wonderful. They would look good on someone’s wall!!! God bless you!
Hello, Debbie. I’m sorry your little darling had a bad day — lifting up prayers for you & yours.
I checked out the Red Bubble, it’s an interesting site. I think after God has so graciously given me a new camera, I’ll look into it.
Thank you for the constant and loving encouragement you offer so graciously.
The sky was absolutely beautiful, and you captured it and the plane beautifully! God bless you and Steve!
Paulette

Great shots! and that looks like FUN!!!
Hello, Ted. It’s a lot of fun!
Thank you & God Bless You!
Excellent photos as always, and the Scripture does well as they mount up as eagles.
There’s also a question or two – what is smoker oil and what is the purpose of blowing it out?
God Bless you and yours, Dei
Hello, Bill. When Steve use to crop dust, he used smoker oil or kerosene to tell which direction the wind was blowing. (One must be careful about drift and chemicals.) In air shows, the oil is used so you can see their trail — a more dramatic effect. When people sky-write they use the oil too. It’s a paraffin based oil — like a candle. So for the most part, the oil is just for fun, fun, fun!
Thank you & God Bless You!
Really nice plane shots Dei!
Thank you so much, Michael. I appreciate that coming from a famous photographer.
God Bless you & yours!
Great shots Dei, and yes we will rise up on Spiritual wings and soar with Jesus….one of my faviourite verses that reminds me in Christ Jesus we never soar alone or do we have to bail out, anyway we don’t want to.
