Out of the Mouth of Babes!

My granddaughter, Lili, and I stopped by to visit a police officer. The three year old asked, “Is he going to arrest us?”

I shook my head. “No, we have Jesus in our heart. We’re the good people.”

Lili pointed at the officer. “Yeah, but does he have Jesus in his heart?”

I shook my head. “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask him.”

Lili didn’t skip a beat. “Do you have Jesus in your heart?” she asked the officer.

He smiled. “Yes, I do.”

My grandsons, James and Lane, offered to do the meal prayers.

Lane closed his eyes tight. “God, thank you for the food. Help us to sleep great tonight and party tomorrow. Amen!

James, seven, prayed over breakfast. “Thank you for this food and it is good. And help us to have a great day hiking and playing baseball.”

We should take lessons from our children. Be bold and pray as if you’ve already received a great outcome!

Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me! Ps. 66:20
